Update on Lily

I wanted to let you know how Lily has been doing...she tried to go back to school at the begining of the school year, but that didnt go over so well. It really exhausted her and the doctors thought she should wait a bit longer for that big step. So she has been in a home school program that she has been doing well in, and has been able to keep up with her school work. All of Stacie's worries about Lily having to stay behind a year in school are no longer an issue. She is still just as witty and high spirited as she has always been and still puts a smile on everyone's face.
More good news!!! This past Tuesday, 11/8/11, the doctors have approved Lily to go back to school and she is really excited about this.
The only thing we are watching for is to insure that Lily doesnt get sick this winter and lower her counts. Keep your fingers crossed and Lily in your prayers!

5th Annual Johnny B. RideThis Saturday is the day of the 5th Annual Johnny B. Ride. This ride is a very important event for the Free Riders, one very close to our hearts. It is a ride to celebrate and remember the life of Johnny B., Joker's (our VP) brother who was taken from us all too early by illness. Each year we organize a ride to honor Johnny B. and to raise money for his children. This money goes towards their future education and college expenses. All are welcome to join in this event, all we ask is that you give what you can to help the family. RIDE DETAILSThe ride will meet at Gentleman Jim's in Gaithersburg at 10:00am. For those who can't make the ride or are busy during the day, you are welcome to meet up with us at Memories to raise a beer to the memory of Johnny B. Dress warm, and ride safe. |
PPF Charity Ride - SUCCESS!Our Patty Pollatos Charity Ride may have started off a bit shaky this year, but in the end, it was a marvelous success. Thanks to all the various venues that hosted us: J.J. Muldoons, Cactus Flats, Blue Sky Bar & Grill, and Gentleman Jims. And of course, a big shout out to all the people that attended, participated, and donated to this wonderful cause. Without you, this event would have been a bust. All of the numbers aren't in as of yet, but it is estimated that we will beat last years donation of $5500.00. THE RAFFLE RESULTSWhat everyone has been waiting for :) This year's ride was a strange one. Even with the odds against it, we had the same person win both 50/50 raffle drawings, so it's no surprise that when we picked the raffle ticket winners for the PPF Charity Ride that we would end up with the same person being pulled twice for a prize. Believe me, with all of those tickets in the raffle wheel it was a shock to everyone when the same name was pulled twice. The raffle winners for the PPF Charity Ride are: $1000 - Crystal Thornton $350 - Ben Brown $150 - Ben Brown Thanks again to all who donated their time and money to make this event a huge success. |
